GM User Guide & Information
If you love cricket and play the game with a hard ball, it is important to wear suitable protection. This User Guide is designed to offer advice and help you choose which piece of Protective Equipment is best suited to you and your game.
Follow the links below to each of the equipment categories:
BATTING PADS – Getting hit on the legs by a hard cricket can hurt so it’s important to wear the appropriate size and style of Batting Pad without being restricted in your movements
BATTING GLOVES – Hands and fingers can be vulnerable areas when batting, particularly against short pitched bowling so it’s key that you are suitably protected and comfortable to give you confidence at the crease
WICKET KEEPING PADS – Similar to when you’re batting, getting hit on the shin when you’re wicket keeping could still hurt so it’s important to protect this area
WICKET KEEPING GLOVES – Wicket Keeping Gloves are designed to assist the wicket keeper to catch the ball and ensure this can be repeated time and time again causing minimal discomfort
THIGH GUARD – Thigh Guards offer protection from ball strikes to the outer thigh region facing the bowler and should be appropriately sized to find the balance between coverage and being unrestrictive in a batter’s movements
INNER THIGH GUARD – Inner Thigh Guards offer protection from ball strikes to the vulnerable inner thigh region of the back leg which faces the bowler which can often be left exposed
FOREARM GUARDS – A suitably sized Forearm Guard can give a batter more confidence when playing short pitched bowling by offering protection to this area of the arm
ABDOMINAL GUARDS – Abdominal Guards can help to protect the vulnerable lower abdomen region if struck by the cricket ball
