Super League Basketball has named Caledonia Gladiators guard Mathilde Domenger as the Molten Sixth Player of the Year for 2025/26, following votes from Head Coaches and Captains.
The 25-year-old Frenchwoman was outstanding once again for Chantelle Handy's side as they secured second place in the Championship and reached the Betty Codona Trophy Final. Starting just once in 15 Championship appearances, Domenger led SLB in assists at 5.7 per game, ranked fifth for steals with 2.5 per game, and contributed 10 points per contest from the bench. She also claimed Molten Community Champion of the Year honours this season.
Domenger described the sixth player role as one she discovered this season, saying it felt the most rewarding and effective position she had played, crediting a strong relationship with her coach for allowing her to maximise her impact off the bench.
Head Coach Handy praised Domenger's leadership, energy and versatility, highlighting her consistency and growth throughout the campaign as central to what Caledonia built this season.
Voting was conducted on a points basis, with voters selecting their top three candidates — earning three, two and one point respectively — and Domenger accumulating the most points overall to claim the award.
