Molten/Super League Award (Men) - Defensive Team of the Year

Super League Basketball has revealed the Molten All-Defensive Team of the Year, selected through a voting process that included the League's Head Coaches, Captains, and members of the media.

Leading the way are London Lions pair Deane Williams and Tarik Phillip, who both earned 15 out of a possible 19 votes.

The duo has been instrumental in shaping the defensive identity of the treble-winning Lions. Phillip has consistently disrupted opposing ball-handlers, making life difficult for anyone tasked with running their team's offence, while Williams has used his imposing size and reach to alter and block shots at the other end, proving a constant deterrent for the defending champions.

Surrey 89ers centre Michael Graham earned 11 selections to claim his place on the roster. The rookie has impressed throughout his debut professional season, averaging 9.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game - narrowly missing out on a double-double average - and has been a cornerstone of Lloyd Gardner's side during another encouraging campaign for the young franchise.

Rounding out the five-man roster are a pair of Florida natives: London's Chaundee Brown Jr. and Cheshire Phoenix's LaQuincy Rideau, receiving nine and eight selections respectively. Brown Jr.'s inclusion means three Lions feature in this year's team, a reflection of the suffocating defensive culture that has underpinned their remarkable season.
