Mullings Completes Stunning Double as Sheffield Star Named MVP
B. Braun Sheffield Hatters' Megan Mullings has been crowned the Molten Most Valuable Player for the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season, rounding off an extraordinary debut campaign with the sport's most coveted individual honour.
The award, decided by a points-based vote among the league's head coaches and captains, adds to an already glittering personal haul. Mullings also claimed the Defensive Player of the Year title and earned places in both the All-League Team and All-Defensive Team of the Year — a remarkable sweep for a player in her first SLB season.
Her statistics tell the story of a player operating at the very top of her game. Mullings averaged 18.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and two steals per game as Sheffield stormed to the Championship, Cup and Betty Codona Trophy. A potential fourth title remains on the line this Sunday at The O2, where the Hatters face Caledonia Gladiators in the Play-off final.
In a heartfelt response, Mullings spoke of what the award means beyond the court. "Being named MVP means maybe some little girl somewhere looks at me and thinks they want to do that one day," she said, adding that she is grateful to a squad and coaching staff that consistently pushed her to be her best.
